Caux Initiatives for Business (CIB) encourages business leaders, young professionals, NGO representatives, trade unionists, experts and decision makers to work together to bridge the gap between the theory and practice of values - in personal conduct and in economic life.
Barbara Down lives in Newcastle upon Tyne with her husband David and two boys, Chris (19) and Andrew (17). Until January 2007 she was working as a nurse in one of the local hospitals but is now working full time on the IofC websites. She is web manager of the xChange and is also editor of the UK IofC website and co-editor of the English-speaking international IofC website.
Against the backdrop of the economic crisis in Greece, Italy and other EU economies, the conference entitled ‘Trust and integrity in the global economy’, 17-23 July 2012, will explore ways to help create a just and equitable global economy.
